I just wanted to say that this literally is a dream come true!!! I saw the demo video and was absolutely floored. The main shuttlebay feels like a living, breathing workspace!
One question, though — are the door/deck fonts going to be replaced with Starfleet standard typefaces? As a graphic designer that sort of stuff usually ends up being the most illusion-shattering (moreso than polygon seams and rendering errors, which are amazingly absent from the demo might I add)
Thanks again, regardless- this is a gorgeous, truly epic project.
The font used for LCARS was Swiss 921 Ultra Compressed BT, all caps. Were the crew’s quarters really labeled with their names, as Worf’s appears to be? If not, I’d be fine with a HUD for walking around that highlighted what the room really was, if only for the sake of the model’s verisimilitude.
