So if it was a copyright complaint about the music why did he remove his patreon?
I can answer that. Because accepting money through patreon most likely got the attention of CBS.
I frequently talk to the guys making Bridge commander 2 and they have been told by CBS several times that CBS does not care if they make games/movies whatever with the star trek universe. they just can not make any money off of the project.
Patreon is not like kickstarter, since people pledge to pay money every month for a certain product and there is no real way for CBS to see where the money is going other than “to the game” or “a new computer”
something like that i would assume since you can find plenty of videos with first contact music easily on youtube.
